Avatar crosses the $700 million mark
Here’s a small update on Avatar’s current box office. Just 2 days ago we posted that it had raked in around $623 million in just 11 days, and now according to Box Office Mojo it’s current box office total stands at $726 million. This film just can’t stop making money!
So far this week in the US Avatar made $19 million on Monday and $18 million on Tuesday. The same time last week the film was making around $16 million each day. It’s making more in it’s second week than it did during it’s first!
65% of it’s total gross comes from overseas where it has made $476 million, and it has yet to be released in markets such as China, Italy and Argentina. At the moment it is looking likely that it will cross the billion mark, although nothing is certain yet.
